As the name suggests, Sciatic Nerve Pain arises due to irritation of the Sciatic nerve. A person suffering from this pain experiences tenderness in the lower back, inner thigh and the surrounding areas. The pain in some cases even radiate below the knee. Sciatic nerve is the largest one in human nervous system. Beginning from nerve roots of spinal cord it extends till buttock. X-ray, CT scan are commonly performed to confirm whether the person is suffering from it. Treatments for this pain vary from person to person.
