What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? |
Carpel tunnel syndrome is a disorder which occurs due to increased pressure on the medium of the wrist. This may give rise to paresthesias, muscle weakness or even numbness of the hand. The median nerve where the pain occurs is present in the carpel tunnel and from there other nine tendons pass by the forearm to the hand. This arises when the swelling in this tunnel builds pressure and puts it on the nerve. When the pressure develops to a great extent wherein it disturbs the working of the nerves, the person starts getting numbness, pain in the finger and hands or tingling. |
