It is true that pain relief medications will give peace but they are not untouched from side effects. Intake of pain relief medications for long time can lead to addiction. People consuming narcotic medications are more likely to get addicted but there are some other drugs which can lead to severe addiction. If no medicines work out, then only doctors prescribe morphine.

People with addiction of alcohol in the past are at the risk of addiction. Sometimes addiction becomes so intense that rehabilitations methods are required to be used to bring the addicted patient out of it. Pain relievers affect the central nervous system and work against the receptors to prevent pain in the body. That is why pain relievers can become addictive.
